Making it easy for organizations to move media and migrate to new storage.

Cambridge, UK. 6 March 2019. During the 2019 NAB Show, media management software specialist IPV will be demonstrating a groundbreaking addition to its Curator for Adobe panel extension. The new Curator Project Connect feature takes the Curator for Adobe integration further by helping users to register all of their Adobe® Premiere® Pro projects into Curator. This is designed to help organizations to make the most of all of their projects and content, while saving time and collaborating better.

Creative teams are often faced with significant challenges when it comes to migrating to new or cloud storage. In an increasingly global world, organizations may no longer want to keep all of their assets on their premises – they need them to be shareable and accessible wherever the best talent resides. The growth of cloud technology means that it’s now possible to achieve this level of accessibility, but manually relinking thousands of files from projects after moving them would be impractical. Curator Project Connect automatically updates media references, so users never need to worry about this problem.

Storing their media files and projects can present another problem for creative teams, but Curator Project Connect is designed to solve these kinds of issues. For example, teams may want to save space by archiving or even deleting files but are unable to see which files are being used in projects. Because Curator Project Connect shows which files are in use, users can make informed decisions about archiving and deletion.

“We believe that Curator Project Connect provides significant value for IPV and Adobe” said Nigel Booth, EVP Business Development and Marketing, IPV. “Instead of relying on manual intervention to relink Premiere Pro project files, users can now let Project Connect do the job for them. This will mean huge time and resource savings, as well as new possibilities for organizations wanting to migrate to the cloud.”

“Curator Project Connect is a great example of an integration that adds value for our customers” said Sue Skidmore, Head of Partner Relations for Adobe Video. “This new capability will help current and future Adobe customers work more flexibly and collaboratively.”

IPV’s Curator Project Connect complements Curator for Adobe, a panel integration that allows editors to take advantage of Curator’s media management and search functionality from within their editing applications. They can stream proxies directly into Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects® and switch between low and high-resolution assets when needed. IPV’s Curator Logger also gives users immediate access to an asset’s live markers in Adobe Premiere Pro as they’re added to the Curator system, facilitating live production workflows. Curator Project Connect will be on display as part of the company’s demonstrations at the 2019 NAB Show, booth number SL5027. Get more information or book a meeting here.
